Practice hours:
Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
One night a week 11am-7pm
Job Description:
To assess, screen, evaluate, and diagnose children from birth through young adult to provide the full spectrum of primary care health services.
Prescribe a comprehensive therapeutic treatment plan including pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies, patient and family education, as well as referral to collaborative members of the health care team when indicated.
Employee is expected to contribute to the well-being of children and families through the client-nurse relationship, teaching and coaching, and ensuring the quality of health care practice, providing family centered care, and demonstrating cultural competency.
The ARNP, under the supervision of the Physician who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:
Performing physical examinations of patients, evaluation and treatment of injuries or illnesses for pediatric patients in the outpatient setting Managing follow up visits, acute/chronic conditions, same day appointments, new patients Ability to work independently, making appropriate clinical decisions, developing plan of treatment Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc Monitors the patient's course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed Collaborates with physician supervisor and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth Knowledge and Skills Required:
Strong communication skills and ability to develop a strong rapport with patients, family members, hospital employees and other health care providers Must demonstrate excellence in patient focused medical care & delivery of care Strong medical decision making skills are a must Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with availability for rotating evening phone call coverage Candidate must be able to successfully pass professional reference checks, a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen Required Education/
Experience:
Master's degree in nursing,PNP-PNP preferred, FNP considered with certification in pediatrics.

Previous experience providing care for patients ages newborn to 18 years of age in a pediatric or family practice setting Licensure, Certification, and Registration :
