The position requires prior experience in custom home building or luxury remodeling construction projects with general construction and carpentry skills and the ambition and potential to become a Team Lead/Supervisor in the future.
Assist Team Lead/Supervisor (Construction Manager, Superintendent, or Coordinator) with daily Field Operations:
Coordinate 2-week schedule with Team and update daily Assist with planning of daily activities and report time & expenses each week with Team Lead/Supervisor.
Attend and participate in production team meetings as required.
Assist in maintaining continuous communication with Team Lead/Supervisor, Executive Management, clients, trade partners, and other office staff.
Maintain understanding of construction materials, methods, codes and standards of construction and attend training as directed.
When required, assist in the process of Permitting and Inspections with the appropriate Building Department.
Update job status within QuickBooks, MS Office and the HardwickGC Construction Online account including daily logging by project.
Ensure proper material is being delivered to job site according to project schedules by coordinating with Team Lead/Supervisor.
Ensure proper project setup, maintenance, and cleanliness using the HGC Process Checklists.
Perform various daily construction labor activities.
Assist with all construction related activities when required by absence or special need.
Ensure compliance with Hardwick GC Safety Program/Manual and report potential unsafe work conditions, productivity issues, and communicate issues to Team Lead and/or Owner.
Assist Company Owner with Special Projects as required.
Maintain a high degree of integrity and honesty in all business affairs.
Maintain a high degree of loyalty toward the company and Owners.
Maintain a cooperative relationship with employees, architects, engineers, trade contractors, suppliers, customers, general public, etc.
Support Company High Performance and Green Building Initiatives:
Coordinate activities in the field so that each member of the construction team (HGC and Trade Partners) is complying with the appropriate certification standard.
